About Tomato Tango

Did you know…

  • 74% of United States Adults are overweight or obese. (source)
  • 1 in 3 Americans after the year 2000 will contract early onset diabetes (for minorities, it will be 1 in 2). (source)
  • Today’s kids are the first generation in decades that will live to be younger than their parents. (source 1 & source 2)

These sobering facts are heavy on my heart, and I want to help our generation live healthier lives.

I believe that stepping into the kitchen and learning to cook whole, unprocessed, healthy meals is a pivotal step in reviving the health of Americans. Thus, I have developed Tomato Tango as a source for healthy recipes and to inspire you to step into the kitchen. Recipes are just the beginning: being healthy is also about being grateful for the food we have, practicing hospitality and building relationships around the dinner table.

Go ahead, step into the kitchen and start cooking to the beat of Tomato Tango.

About the Author

My name is Andrea, and I’m the creator of Tomato Tango. Cooking is a passion that has grown in me since I was a little girl. I love the creativity the kitchen offers: here I can create yogurt from scratch, watch a loaf of bread rise and taste how spices and aromatics can be combined to create a lively flavor I never knew existed. And then there’s the satisfaction of serving food to those I love; food and mealtime bind friends and family together the way nothing else can. In short, I love cooking and want to help you love it too.
