Greetings from the Big Apple

taxis in NYCHi Friends! Last week and this week finds Sam and me rather busy: last week we celebrated a dear friend’s wedding and entertained house guests, while this week we are visiting New York City. I imagine you can understand why my blogging has been pushed by the wayside! This week, in addition to exploring the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York Public Library and Central Park, we plan to revel in New York’s famed food scene (recommendations welcome!). Check back soon for photos of our adventures in New York!

How fun! I’ve never been. I can’t wait to hear all about it.

Hi Dani! I hope you make it to NYC some day–you’d love the museums, restaurants and shopping. :)

We were just there (though only for a day) and we really enjoyed Tao (http://www.taorestaurant.com/). The prices weren’t terrible except for the sparkling water which ended up costing us $15 a bottle!! Fun atmosphere and very yummy food. You must make a reservation in order to be seated. Also, the banana pudding for dessert was a great way to round out the meal.

Thanks for the recommendation, Bethany! Tao looks like a really delicious, hip restaurant. I’ll let you know if we go! (And bummer about the sparkling water! It’s funny how pricey it can be!)
