Radishes with Sea Salt

Radishes with Sea Salt

You’ve chewed your way through salted caramels and savored dark chocolate bars topped with sea salt, but have you ever tried radishes sprinkled with sea salt? The sea salt makes the radishes’ flavor sparkle. If you’re worried about overdosing on sodium, relax. All it takes is one little grain of sea salt to add a pow of flavor to your piece of radish. Plain sea salt brings out the radish flavor splendidly, but flavored sea salts are a fun way to mix it up. The salt pictured above is an Alder Smoked Sea Salt. That little pile, by the way, is way more salt than you’d need; I was serious about the one grain of salt thing. So the next time you pull a bunch of radishes from your crisper drawer, try dipping them in a little sea salt and let the radish flavor sparkle.
